We recognize that there are times when you'll see a piece of art in our gallery that resonates with you; however, the size may not be right, the color doesn't work, or any number of reasons that will deter you from purchasing that particular piece.
We have a solution - commissioned work. Most of our artists will work with you to create a commissioned work of art. Though, most of the artists we represent aren't able to duplicate an original, they are able to create a piece that is similar in feeling, if not exactly in image.
Get started by answering these questions
Once you decide that you'd like to commission one of our artists including Aleta and Barbara, contact Pippin Meikle Fine Art to make arrangements.
The price of a commissioned work is negotiated at the time you decide to move forward with the purchase and is usually our normal price plus 10%. There is a 50% deposit due with the order and the balance becomes due when the artwork has been completed to your satisfaction. Timing will be established before the project gets underway.
A commissioned piece can be quite wonderful. Designed just for you! With your color selection, dimensions, and timing. Be sure to keep this option in mind.
Barbara Meikle Fine Art is located in the world-famous Canyon Road area of Santa Fe, New Mexico. We're at the corner of Delgado Street and Canyon Road, just two doors north of Canyon Road.
Currently we are only looking for outdoor sculpture and our first preference is to find and represent the local sculptors. Before you decide to present a portfolio please spend some time looking through this site to get a sense of the type of work we carry and the price points. Also, we encourage you to personally visit Barbara Meikle Fine Art and view the sculpture garden.
If after reviewing our website and visiting our gallery, you'd like to submit a portfolio, please do so via the Internet. We'll need images, resume, prices and artist's statement.
Please do not submit your portfolio without first checking with us. We appreciate you and the efforts you're making with your art. Though it would be nice to have the time to review all portfolios, we simply cannot do it. Any unsolicited portfolios that are mailed to us without a return postage paid envelope will be discarded.
We at Barbara Meikle Fine Art do everything possible to insure that your artwork arrives safely. Our normal procedure is to have special boxes made to accommodate the particular size of your artwork.
Then the piece is shipped by either Fedex or another shipper, depending upon the destination and size of the particular work. We insure your artwork until it reaches its destination safe and sound.
